Tattoos will take up to 2-6 weeks to heal on the surface.

◦⠀If cling wrap is applied, leave on for 1-3 hours. Do not reapply it if it falls off; throw away.

◦⠀With clean hands, use lukewarm water to gently and thoroughly clean the area.

◦⠀Use a gentle unscented/fagrance-free antibacterial soap.

◦⠀Pat the area dry with a clean one-use paper towel.

◦⠀Apply thin layer healing ointment/aftercare cream.

◦⠀Do not use petroleum jelly or Vaseline or any products that include petroleum jelly or Vaseline.

◦⠀Repeat these steps 3x a day until the treatment area is healed.

NO SWEAT, SOAKING, SUN
◦⠀No direct sun.

◦⠀Do not soak - i.e. excessive washing, baths, sauna, etc.

◦⠀No activities that will cause excessive sweating in the treated area.

MOISTURIZE
◦⠀The tattoo may itch and scab during the healing process. Do not scratch. Do not pick scabs.

◦⠀Scratching and picking will cause pigment loss, imperfect results and increase risk of infection.

◦⠀The thin layer of ointment or cream aids in the healing process and can help with the itchiness.

◦⠀Once healed, use unscented lotion to keep the area moisturized and use a “total sunblock”.

This is an important part of your tattoo care to keep it from fading. Sunblock should be worn forever.

KEEPING YOUR TATTOO CLEAN IS MOST IMPORTANT!
TREAT IT AS YOU WOULD WITH ANY OTHER WOUND.
◦⠀Avoid dirty environments. No pools or jacuzzis.

◦⠀Do not touch or blow on your tattoo.
